28 Oct Greening Libraries Conference
The Australian Library and Information Association will be hosting its first ever Greening Libraries Conference on 22 November 2023.
This online conference will feature critical research into climate action and present strategies and tools for the future. The program brings together a showcase of green initiatives in libraries from across Australia, a follow up on themes in Charles Sturt University’s Greening Libraries Report, and look at emerging issues including the carbon footprint of digital collections. Speakers include social worker, social justice and environmental activist Naomi Godden, Research Director at the Institute for Sustainable Futures, UTS Gordon Noble, plus presentations from Blue Shield Australia and the National Library of Australia, to list a few.
The conference is $125 for ALIA Member and $175 for non-Members.
