Two Level A/B Research Fellow positions at the Sydney Centre for Healthy Societies, The University of Sydney (full-time, fixed term 2 years with the possibility of extension) Applications close on Sunday 18 June 2023 at 11:59 PM
We are recruiting for two Level A or B Research Fellow positions (2 years) at the Sydney Centre for Healthy Societies at The University of Sydney. One role is focused on health (see: https://tinyurl.com/zxbmezse) and one is focused on the environment and food systems (see: https://tinyurl.com/2p93j2cr).
Research at The Sydney Centre for Healthy Societies spans five core research themes covering a range of areas in the humanities and social sciences in conversation with STEM scholars (in this case the Charles Perkins Centre at The University of Sydney). Synthesising different disciplinary approaches across scales of observation from the microbial to the planetary, the work of the Centre highlights how historical context, political arrangements, economic structures, enduring inequalities, and interspecies and environmental relations both produce health problems and might map paths to new solutions.
Relevant areas of expertise for applicants include sociology, anthropology, public health, qualitative research, science and technology studies or related fields.
For further information about the role and/or the team, please contact Centre Director Professor Alex Broom, or Deputy Director Dr Katie Kenny via healthy.societies@sydney.edu.au.
Applications close on Sunday 18th June 2023 11:59 PM.
