Australasian Workshop on Teaching Environmental History and Humanities

14-15 November, 2019

Call for participants

The Australian and New Zealand Environmental History Network (ANZEHN) is holding a workshop on teaching environmental history and humanities. Teaching remains a crucial arena for the dissemination of environmental historical knowledge and cultivation of the next generation of scholars in environmental history and humanities. This workshop aims to foster collaboration in these areas of teaching and to develop teaching strategies around curriculum design and method to enhance quality teaching. It will bring together experienced teachers in environmental history and humanities, the National Museum of Australia, and those who would like to develop or extend their teaching in environmental history and/or humanities.

The workshop will be run as a series of discussion forums with contributions encouraged from participants throughout. There will be no registration fee.

Submit an expression of interest

Please submit an expression of interest – comprising a short paragraph on your interest in teaching in these areas and participating in the workshop – via the google form by 19 July 2019: https://forms.gle/PrbeBCA5KewRezW38

Participants will be notified of the outcome by 9 August 2019.

There is funding to subsidise travel costs to the workshop for those who require it. Please indicate if you wish to be considered for this funding when you submit your expression of interest.
